about alyssa

I was a lifestyle photographer for nearly two decades. During this time, I also worked as the media director for a non-profit that collaborated with local organizations in different parts of the globe. With them, I led multiple travel trips. I began to realize I wanted to share my love for travel and cultures with more people, combined with a desire to see it done ethically and sustainably.

Living abroad and loving a good adventure, I have traveled to nearly 50 countries. I'm married to a man that is possibly the world's most supportive life partner, and we have super cool kids who know way more about this world than I did at their age. My passion is sharing the joys of responsible travel through being the conduit to new spaces and new cultures.

If we travel together you'll definitely drink good coffee (I pride myself on my ability to find the best coffee) and you'll probably have to tell me to slow down as one of my toxic traits is walking too fast. But more importantly you'll learn something, experience an adventure you've only dreamed of, and have a crap ton of fun!

Ugh. Bios. They either sound like your mom wrote them ("Alyssa is the most talented person in the universe!") or sound like a teenage wrote it ("I mean she's a done a few things- whatever.") I'll try for a happy medium, but can we please skip the third person junk?
Spoiler alert: I wrote this myself.
