Plan to wake up to stunning views of the Indian Ocean as you make your way to the rooftop terrace for breakfast. Today will be a mixture of enjoying our surroundings and also taking a short drive into Paje where we will visit a Fair Trade Seaweed Farm Women's Initiative. There we will learn how the body care products are made and have a chance to shop these organic handmade items. There will also be the opportunity shop at other spots in Paje. Afterwards we will return to our villa for rest and another delicious dinner.
In the early morning, you will have the opportunity to join in on an optional experience of a dolphin safari. See below for more information on this experience. In the afternoon, we will be taken on a tour of a nearby village to learn more about local life. We will then go to an acrobatic school where we can see the wonderful things happening at this local initiative and also join in on the fun.
We will be picked up in the morning for a day on the water off the southwestern side of the island. We will eat breakfast on a sailboat as it takes us out to a tidal sandbank where you can sunbathe on the pure white sand or explore the crystal clear waters. From there, we will go snorkeling and then starfish diving. We will then be taken to a hidden mangrove lagoon for a swim. Finally, we will finish with freshly prepared seafood barbecue on a private island. We will sail back to shore to finish the day off relaxing at the villa.
In the late morning, we will go to a spice farm to learn about Zanzibar's largest export. After a tour we will be enjoying a traditional Swahili lunch. The rest of the day will be spent relaxing or enjoying the beach in front of our villa.
We will meet up at Zanzibar airport and fly out together to mainland Tanzania. Upon arrival, we will be driven to Lake Manyara National Park where we will be staying at an upscale campsite inside the park. We'll settle in before our big day ahead.
After breakfast we will head over to Ngorongoro Crater for our first safari. This crater, which was voted as one of the seven natural wonders in Africa, is the largest intact volcanic caldera on earth and has therefore become its own ecosystem and one of the most densely populated natural sanctuaries for African mammals. From the comfort of a Land Rover, get ready to see a wide variety of wildlife.
Our second safari will start bright and early. We will go to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is most famous for the amount of elephant herds, but expect to spot many other animals as well. After lunch in the park we will be driven back to the airport where we will return to Zanzibar. Once back, we will be driven to the east coast of the island where we will be staying in a private oceanfront villa. We will be welcomed by dinner cooked by our private chef.
